Hai Phan

Hai Phan is an Associate Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he leads the Artificial Intelligence for Good Lab, a co-founding member and Associate Chair of the Department of Data Science, and a senior and core member of the NSF Center of Big Learning, USA. Dr. Phan’s research interests focus on privacy and security, data mining, and trustworthy machine learning with applications in health informatics, mobile computing, and social network analysis. Dr. Phan has published 80+ papers in leading venues, such as IEEE S&P, ACM CCS, Usenix Security, NDSS, ICML, ECML, AAAI, IJCAI, IEEE ICDM, IEEE PerCom, ACM CIKM, IEEE BigData, ACM SigSpatial, ACM Multimedia, etc., with several best papers, i.e., AAAI 2023 Distinguished Papers, IEEE ICDM’17, IEEE SDS’22, Springer CSoNet’19, Springer CSoNet’18, ACM BCB’15, ASONAM’15. In addition, Dr. Phan's research has been generously supported by NSF and (long-term) industry partners.
